I’m still surprised that Barnes & Noble continues to carry so many toys, but it was nice to see some 2016 LEGO sets on the shelves already.

It was fascinating to see the LEGO stock at Toys R Us, a week after Christmas. The Star Wars sets were almost completely wiped out, as expected. A bunch of 2016 sets were on the shelf. The rest was a mixed bag.

Well, the toy sections are pretty much geared up for the holidays. Here is LEGO at my local Target in early November, 2015:

Here is a look at the LEGO section at my local Target:

I stopped by Toys R Us to see what LEGO they had to offer. As usual, an enormous double aisle display, plus a big row by the front door. New Star Wars: The Force Awakens sets were in stock, as were exclusives such as Wall-E, Big Bang Theory, and Ghostbusters:

I stopped by the LEGO Flatiron Store:

I stopped by Toys R Us to see their LEGO selection. WOW, are there a lot of polybags now available. They seemed to be everywhere, and I was surprised to see Rocket Raccoon was still available. It was surprising to see they had the Birds set too, and yes, they still had a little mini-modular set from Bricktober in stock. The coolest thing were the new Mixels Series 5 – really fun designs.

I stopped by the LEGO Store — it was cool to see the ferris wheel and Kwik-E-Mart sets on the shelves. Overall, I felt like the store didn’t have enough space for all of the incredible sets that are now out. There were some obvious pieces missing (Death Star, modulars, Simpsons House), but it felt as though even some of the smaller sets (Racers) were missing. I could be wrong, of course, but it’s astounding to see so many Star Wars UCS sets available at once.

I keep finding myself in the LEGO Rockefeller Center Store, and I can help but take photos:

I stopped by the LEGO Rockefeller Center Store today, and noticed quite a few things on sale. The discounts ranged from 20% – 40% off.
